This role is for a hands-on motion designer and editor who can take product stories from brief to polished video - helping us ship UI tutorials faster, keep marketing output consistent, and raise the overall craft of our SaaS content. The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with AI-powered creativity to deliver fast, engaging, and modern content aligned with software and business branding.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience in motion design and video editing (agency, product company, or in-house team).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating product education content (tutorials, onboarding videos, feature releases) for SaaS.
- Comfort writing (Eng & Nep) or refining short scripts and storyboards for clarity.
- Experience delivering multiple aspect ratios and versions (16:9, 1:1, 9:16) with consistent quality
Job Description
- Produce SaaS motion content end-to-end: Plan, animate, and deliver premium product videos and UI tutorials with clean transitions, strong pacing, and a modern, minimal look.
- Leverage AI tools in the workflow: Use AI tools to accelerate content creation, generate ideas, enhance visuals, and improve workflow efficiency.
- Bring creative ideas to life: Contribute fresh, trend-aware concepts using both traditional design methods and AI-assisted creativity.
- Edit product and marketing videos: Assemble footage/screen recordings, tighten narratives, add captions, and deliver platform-ready versions for web, social, and in-app use.
- Sound design & SFX: Add subtle sound effects and basic audio mixing that improves clarity and engagement without feeling overdone.
- Maintain visual consistency: Follow brand guidelines and establish UI styling so every video feels like part of the same product family.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with Product/Marketing to understand what matters to users, then translate that into simple, easy-to-follow stories.
- Improve the production workflow: Organize project files, build reusable templates, and help standardize deliverables so we can scale output without sacrificing quality.
- Support design continuity (backup): When needed, assist with digital marketing creatives to ensure campaigns don’t stall due to capacity constraints
Required Skills
- Strong portfolio showing motion design for digital products (UI animations, explainer videos, product demos, or tutorials).
- Working knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, including layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy; ability to create or adapt supporting assets (thumbnails, social
- media creatives, etc.) that align with brand guidelines
- Solid command of timing, typography (both english and nepali), composition, and transitions; ability to keep visuals clean and intentional.
- Working knowledge of audio basics (voice leveling, noise cleanup, SFX placement, simple mixing).
- Comfortable working from briefs and asking the right questions when requirements are unclear.
- Reliable file organization and versioning habits; able to work on multiple deliverables without losing track.
- After Effects (required) and strong comfort with animation principles.
- Premiere Pro / AI Tools (or equivalent) for editing.
- Ability to write effective prompts and integrate AI into the creative workflow.
- Illustrator / Figma / Photoshop (or equivalents) for assets, layouts, and UI references.
- Ability to work with screen recordings, Video record, UI mockups, and brand libraries.
- Extra: basic knowledge of Lottie/JSON animations.
